FAQs

Q: Does the D5 come with a power supply?
A: Yes. Please use the supplied DC 5V/2A power adapter for optimal performance. If using other power supply, ensure it provides at least 2A current. Otherwise, the D5 may not function properly.

Q: Can all four channels output simultaneously in "1-IN-4-OUT" mode?
A: Yes, in "1-IN-4-OUT" mode, all four channels can output simultaneously, with D5 acting as an audio splitter.

Q: Can I use D5 as a 4-IN-1-OUT mixer?
A: D5 does not support individual volume control for each channel, so it is not recommended as a mixer. However, it works effectively as a switcher.

Q: Why is there no sound when the RCA I/O port is connected?
A: The 3.5mm Priority jack takes priority over the RCA I/O port. To use the RCA I/O port, please ensure the Priority jack is not connected.

Q: There is noise during operation. What should I do?
A: If noticeable noise occurs, please try toggling the GND switch on the rear panel. Switching it on or off can resolve most ground loop issues, but we cannot guarantee 100%.

Q: Is volume control available in EQ bypass mode?
A: Yes, volume control remains available in EQ bypass mode.

Use caution before you buy from Douk Audio

Need to return the item before the 30 day window is up and customer service will not respond after multiple emails. Good luck to you if your item does not work. You will be stuck with it. At this time, I cannot recommend buying from Douk Audio.

A flexible unit that’s misunderstood

This compact well made audio switcher with nice looking VU meters and EQ allows via a switch, 4ins or 4 outs without loss of quality. I can use a preamp on input 1 that might have several things linked. Maybe I’ll use input 2 for my 32 bit float recorder and possibly input 3 for CD Maybe input 4 to control a power Amp. This is my preferred usage. But you can turn inputs into outputs to route to other devices. The EQ hits all the right frequencies making a real difference. They add no noise or audible distortion. The headphone feature is handy offering decent sound quality for easy to drive phones. The mini jack inputs are super handy too for linking up portable devices. I would have liked colour options for the VU meters, but I have that feature on the larger pro switcher from Douk.
I have a growing collection of Douk/Nobsound products that have integrated well into a much more expensive audiophile setup with surprisingly good results. I’m a fan of this companies innovation - in fact I’m using a Douk dual DAC, DAC in my recording studio. It sits along side equipment costing more than my car, and it’s not out of place.
Well done to all at Douk.
